We offer the following types of dental porcelain veneers at our clinic
A beautiful smile can open doors and knock down barriers that stand between you and a truer, richer, fuller life.

Porcelain veneers, also known as porcelain laminates, are thin shells of porcelain applied to the front of the teeth to hide imperfections. Dental veneers are custom-designed shells of tooth-like ceramic material that, when applied over the surface of a tooth, can cover worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing and chips or cracks. Dental veneers fall into the category of cosmetic dentistry because they create a bright, white smile with beautifully aligned, shapely teeth. Even better, the translucent ceramic quality of today's veneers provides a more natural look than what’s been available in the past. They are often called as INSTANT ORTHODONTICS.

Porcelain Laminate Veneers have revolutionized cosmetic dentistry. They allow us to do magic. Their conservative non-invasive approach to create spectacular smiles within as little as 2 sittings has made them the most popular modem of cosmetic dentistry.

Cosmetic Dentistry FAQ
IPS Empress (from Ivoclar Vivadent)
With no metal substructure or core material, the light refraction and reflection of IPS Empress more closely mimics that of natural tooth structure. Testing shows that the wear characteristics of this ceramic are in the range of natural enamel. IPS Empress pressed reinforced ceramics exhibit nearly two times the strength of conventional porcelains helping ensure long-term esthetics and durability. IPS Empress® is a registered trademark of Ivoclar North America, Inc. and is one of the most popular material of choice for the fabrication of porcelain veneers.

IPS Empress is individually colored to match your smile based on your dentist's prescription.
IPS Empress 2 (from Ivoclar Vivadent)
IPS Empress 2 is a new restorative material for anterior 3-unit bridges and single anterior or posterior crowns. IPS Empress 2 can be adhesively bonded or cemented using Ivoclar’s ProTec CEM™ or glass ionomers. The patented translucent lithium disilicate framework provides three times more flexural strength than original IPS Empress. An new veneering ceramic results in lifelike esthetics due to the “fluorapatite” composition which mimics the fluorescence, opalescence, and translucency of natural teeth. This new addition to the original IPS empress system allows for unique combinations of metal-free restorative casework. Your dentist's porcelain veneers reach a new level of excellence with the IPS Empress system. Ceramic veneers are one of the most accepted modern smile enhancement techniques. Ceramic veneers usually require very little tooth reduction since they are thin facings bonded only to the front of your teeth. IThe aesthetics for these veneers can further be enhanced with the following procedures called external shading and cutback tecnique which may cost you a little extra but its worthwhile seeing the aesthetics.
External Shading
The IPS Empress Universal Shades and Stains in paste form are applied to the outer surfaces of the restoration for highlighting individual haracteristics and subsequently fired in the new Programat furnaces.

Hence, it is possible to reproduce all the Chromascop and A-D shades. The lifelike appearance of the incisal area is further enhanced using the two new Incisal shades.
Cut-Back Technique
With the opalescent IPS Empress Esthetic Veneer layering materials, the veneer technique has come yet another step closer to imitating nature. In the cut-back technique, the incisal third of fully anatomical IPS Empress Esthetic or IPS Empress CAD restorations is reduced to a dentin-mamelon structure. Subsequently, internal characteristics, such as mamelons, are applied using the Wash pastes.

How long does it take to get my new smile?
The two most common materials used in the manufacture of dental veneers are composite resin and porcelain veneers. Both porcelain veneers and composite veneers can be fabricated by a dental technician in a dental laboratory; composite veneers can also be directly fabricated inside your mouth at the dental office.

Dental veneers that are indirectly fabricated – fabricated in a dental laboratory – are bonded to the teeth with various types of resin cement. Of the two options, porcelain veneers are longer lasting and more expensive.

Examination
Make an appointment and visit your dentist.
Preparation
Your dentist will prepare your tooth and order your new dental veneer from a state-of-the-art production facility.
Smile
Best of all, your beautiful new dental veneer is fitted and placed giving you a beautiful smile.
1.EXAMINATION
The first step to getting a dental veneer is an examination of your current situation with your dentist.

After deciding a dental veneer is the right for your situation, your dentist will proceed with preparing your tooth.
2.PREPARATION
Your dentist will prepare your tooth for a dental veneer by reshaping it to make room for the veneer. Normally, no anesthesia is necessary because the tooth re-contouring is minor.

Your dentist will then take an impression of this area in your mouth.

In case you didn’t know, a dental impression is a “negative” copy of your mouth made using an elastic material; into the impression, plaster or dental stone is placed in order to make an accurate copy of the mouth (or model).

After the model is made, your dentist will send it to a state-of-the-art production facility, where your custom-fit, all-ceramic dental veneer will be produced.
3.SMILE
In a very short time, your dentist will receive your individual, all-ceramic dental veneer. Your dentist will then check that the dental veneer fits perfectly. When you’re satisfied with the result, your dentist will bond the dental veneer onto the prepared tooth.

That’s it... only three simple steps to your beautiful new smile.
Advantages
-
The amount of reduction required is ultra conservative and minimal, as the thickness of the PLVs can be kept to a minimal of just 0.3 mm.
-
PLV’s are translucent just like your natural teeth and have the inherent quality to reflect, refract, disperse and absorb light similar to your natural tooth. This imparts increased vitality and brilliance to your perfectly designed smile.
-
The PLV has a highly polished, non-porous, glazed surface which prevents and deters plaque accumulation. This allows the gums around your veneers to stay in the “Pink” of health.
-
They do not discolor nor stain.
-
The PLVs have a contact lens effect hence merging into the tooth so one cannot distinguish the laminate from your natural tooth; therein lies the beauty of your bonded veneers.
Porcelain veneers can change your smile in a weeks' time instead of braces which need to be in place for approximately 2 years. Braces also do not address problems having to do with size, shape and color of the teeth. Over time many adults wear their teeth down. Veneers allow Dr. Anshu to restore the shape and size of teeth to their normal dimensions.
Since porcelain veneers cover the front surface of the teeth, picking a new shape and a whiter color is a definite option. A brighter healthy smile can also create a more youthful appearance.
Bonding often serves as an inexpensive and effective restoration for small chips and cracks in the teeth. Such minor problems may be functionally and cosmetically repaired with a composite "white filling." A composite resin material is bonded to the tooth in order to fill in the chip or crack and better protect the surrounding tooth structure. But for more severe cases of dullness, wear, discoloration, mild chipping, cracking, spacing, or uneven teeth, dental veneers may be recommended as a more appropriate solution.

Regardless of what causes unattractive teeth, dental veneers may solve most or even all of your cosmetic dental issues, including:
-
Worn enamel: Over time, the thin, hard white substance covering your teeth (enamel) may become worn, dulled, and discolored. Such wear and discoloration may be natural or the result of a genetic predisposition; however, it is often a result of your habits (soft drink, tea, or coffee consumption, smoking, medication use, etc.).
-
Wear and tear: Teeth naturally wear down as people age. Aged teeth are more likely to have chips, cracks or a generally uneven appearance.
-
Genetics: Certain people may be born with abnormal spacing between the teeth that grows wider as they age.
-
Uneven teeth: Uneven teeth can result from tooth grinding or general wear and tear.
Teeth whitening may provide a white smile for mildly discolored teeth. Some people who are interested in veneers will find that their cosmetic dentist will steer them to the simpler alternative of whitening, perhaps combined with some simple orthodontic alignment. The placement of dental veneers requires the “shaping” or “prepping” of all teeth being fitted with the custom-designed shells. This process permanently alters the teeth that are treated and is therefore not recommended if your natural teeth are functionally and esthetically adequate.
f you have a severe case of dull or discolored teeth, you may have to opt for dental veneers. Veneers do have the added benefits of longevity and a proven ability to enhance the appearance of the mouth, smile, and possibly other areas of an aged face that would be better supported by properly shaped teeth. Although veneers require a much larger commitment than teeth whitening, the results are typically well worth it.
A Restorative Benefit to Veneers

Because dental veneers are so thin, they might require little-to-no tooth reshaping when bonded onto the tooth. Once veneers are bonded into place, they are relatively strong and durable; however, care must be taken so as not to abuse veneers because the thin porcelain shells can damage or break. Your dentist may advise you against certain uses or dietary tendencies (such as eating carrots) and may recommend you wear a protective appliance while your sleep, especially if you are a bruxer.
