Laser Dentistry - Advanced Laser Technology
We are the first clinic in Punjab to introduce dental laser treatment for our patients and one of very few clinics in India that offer this technology.

Laser dentistry offers a highly effective alternative to painful and noisy drilling procedures. Lasers can now be used to perform a variety of functions, including cavity removal, tooth restoration, and periodontal surgery. Dental lasers can also remove plaque and dental decay from a cavity-affected tooth, preparing it for a filling. A laser beam can also help harden bonding material. Laser Dentistry can effectively reshape gums, remove excess or affected gum tissue in gum disease sufferers and remove bacteria from between diseased gums and teeth. Our technologically advanced practice uses the Picasso Dental Laser system from USA.

Picasso Dental Laser
Picasso Diode Dental Laser
The Dental Laser allows us to do many procedures previously done
with the dental drill, usually without the need for painful injections.
Perfect for kids and adults, the laser eliminates the whining sounds
and vibrations previously asscociated with the dental drill. The laser
technology allows us to fix cavities with remarkable precision and
then fill them with undetectable white fillings.

Anyone that has ever had a fear of the dentist will be pleasantly surprised
once they experience dental treatment with the laser. No more shots, no
more lingering numbness, no more whining sounds of the drill. It is truly
an incredible experience.

Fixing teeth with the Dental Laser is not only pain free, but also extremely
accurate and precise. Many gum procedures can be performed with this
laser as well, usually without the need for novocaine and stitches.

Our Diode dental laser allows us to treat many gum procedures, previously only treatable by traditional periodontal surgery. Unlike periodontal surgery, however, Diode laser treatments are much less invasive while they can achieve similar results. Following diode laser gum treatments, the patient exhibits virtually no discomfort. No stitches, no bleeding, and virtually no pain make this an excellent alternative for many that fear traditional periodontal surgery.

The Diode laser can be used for low level laser therapy to help and assist in healing and pain relief. The laser is used at low power, allowing the energy to stimulate changes in blood vessels and nerves, causing a healing response by the body.

Laser teeth whitening (also known as light-activated teeth whitening) is one of the newest methods available for teeth whitening. Laser treatment involves using a beam of special laser light on the desired areas of the mouth. Laser teeth whitening is popular because the procedure only takes an hour, and results can be seen instantly. The treatment begins by using bleaching agents like hydrogen peroxide gel or carbamide peroxide gel on the tooth enamel. The gel is then activated using a controlled laser light. The result is a faster, more effective procedure with results of up to a 10 shade improvement

Tooth whitening is a bleaching process that lightens discolored and stained enamel. The laser whitening procedure begins with a short preparation to isolate your lips and gums. Protective eyewear is required during the entire procedure. The whitening gel is then applied and activated by our powerful diode laser. Teeth typically become at least six to ten shades whiter. You'll be amazed with the results. Dr. Turk can determine if you are a candidate for this procedure through a thorough oral exam and shade assessment.
What is Laser tooth whitening?
Yes, extensive research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth under the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available. As with any tooth-whitening procedure, laser whitening is not recommended for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women. Tooth whitening is a well-established procedure in cosmetic dentistry.
Is whitening safe?
By following some simple post whitening care instructions, your teeth will always remain lighter than they were before treatment. To keep your teeth looking their best, we recommend proper oral hygiene and occasional touch-ups with our take-home gel. These are professional formula products designed specifically to keep your teeth their brightest.

How long do the results last?
Melanin hyper-pigmentation, or "dark gums", is prevalent in certain individuals who have darker complexions. These dark spots can cause an undesirable appearance to otherwise healthy, pink gums. Through dental laser technology, Dr. Anshu can painlessly and accurately remove these problem areas. Laser treatment of dark gums can be done in as little as one office visit and with ery quick healing time.
Lasers help people who suffer from sensitive teeth. When combined with a fluoride treatment, certain dental lasers can reduce sensitivity for upto 12 months. The effectiveness of this treatment depends on the type of laser used, and varies according to each individual patient. Dental lasers assist in the uptake of fluoride within teeth. These enhanced laser fluoride treatments are longer lasting and provide better protection for your teeth against decay. The laser procedure takes only ten minutes per session and two sessions are more than sufficient to take care of most of the tooth sensitivity problems.
With laser dentistry we can remove decay, usually without needles, and restore your tooth to its healthy state with a tooth coloured filling. There is no vibration, or numbness and you'll be comfortable the entire treatment.
Laser fillings are done in about the same time as conventional fillings but if multiple fillings are required, the laser will reduce the time spent in the dental chair. And multiple regions of the mouth can be done in the one visit.

We may still need to use a drill such as in the removal of old amalgam or metal crowns. However, lasers can be used to reduce sensitivity and needles may not be required. Lasers will also selectively target areas of decay and not enamel, minimising the amount of tissue removed.

Minor surgery
Surgery to remove swellings and soft and hard tissue growths in and around the mouth can be performed quickly and easily with a dental laser.

Minor surgery performed with dental lasers will heal more quickly than conventional treatments. After a laser procedure, the treated area is left sterilised and sealed, and is advanced in the healing process compared to conventional treatments. The removed tissue is then sent for assessment.

Many people have lips and tongues that are held too tight by the frenum (that ligament that attaches your lips and your tongue to your gum and jaw bone). This commonly causes a gap (diastema) in between the teeth, usually the front upper teeth and the front lower teeth. It can be the cause of speech problems. Many babies can find it difficult to suckle if they have tied tongues. Lactation specialists, early childhood nurses and speech therapists will often see this.

The conventional surgery to release frenums is quite traumatic, painful and can take a long time to heal. With lasers we can precisely and painlessly remove the tissue making it more comfortable for you. There is no bleeding afterwards, no sutures and hardly any discomfort. Children go to school the day after and adults can go back to work the same day. Eating is normal and a baby will suckle immediately after the procedure! It truly is an amazing way to have surgery.

Dental lasers are very good at targeting the bacteria which cause infected root canals in your teeth. A quick laser treatment can be very effective in treating the disease and promoting healing.
